HOT BIKE volume 40 mag 1 article about doing a swap but leaves out the part about mechanicle speedo drive there is not enough meat to bore it to the 1 inch axle I have already did the 2002 swing arm coversion on the rear using sta-bo bushings what a difference. I have gathered all the parts for 2000 flht front end swap but the speedo s got me stumped the road kings in 98 used sensor in trans but I do not want to swap tranny housing or drill mine, dakota digital was no help I called them plus various other speedo people anyone know of a 1 inch inside diameter mechanical speedo drive unit that will work on my 1998 flht?

I own a 93 FXDWG wideglide frontend and installed 2007 sliders that uses a 25mm dia. axle.  I used my oem 3/4: axle and made sleeves for both sides inside dia. 3/4" and the outside, (the inside dia of each side of the sliders and made the length about 1"). I had a friend at a machine shop make them from thin stock and had to grind them down alittle to fit.  Axle works fine with my oem mech speed drive.
