Turn signal removal on Street Bob

Hey guys. Got a question. I would like to remove the signal lights on my 2010 Street Bob. As an experiment I removed the bulbs out of the signal housings. This made the red "key" light illuminate on my speedo. I do not have the alarm system with the fob key chain thing. This did not make it where I couldn't start the bike, but I do not particularly want to stare at this red light all the time. I have seen a street bob on this site customized and if I remember correctly the signals were removed but can't remember who it was or anything. Has anyone done this, and if so how? Thanks for any input.
