I recently purchased a used 2001 Road King Classic. I've had it on a trickle charger for the last 2 months during the winter in Chicago. I've been starting it regularly every couple days. Well needless to say, the weather broke this weekend and I went for a ride. I got about a mile from my house and the headlight started to dim and get bright again. After about a block of doing this the bike died and I had to push it home. I checked the battery with a voltmeter and it was low. I put the charger back on and tried it again in the morning - it started right up. I turned it off and then tried to start it again and all I heard was the clicking of the starter.

Does this sound like a battery issue, a starter issue or a short? As far as I know, there is no alternator on a bike, so not too sure about that route. I will have to have the bike towed to a Harley shop if I can't figure it out. Any suggestions on how to determine the cause without towing it? I am very mechanical and have a mechanic for a neighbor, just never worked on Harley's before......

i think it needs to service complete at harley shops, they will sure have many ways to sort out your towing . . i'm gonna plan to buy Kawasaki ZZR 1400 supercool bike. just look at its ornament down. .  It has got stunning looks. It is a superb combination of style and performance. It generates magnificent power of 200 Horsepower. Its peak speed is about 300 km/h, which is amazingly fast. As a safety measure motorcycle helmets need to be used to ride it.

Its 1352cc liquid-cooled engine is really innovative and speak in its own way with its 200 HP. It is truly a power-house you can easily imagine its true power by the fact that it reaches 0-60 mile/h in just 2.5 sec. Many big names in super-cars can not deliver such a high performance. The bike delivers Maximum torque 154 nm @ 7,500 rpm. It will be nice to wear bell helmets for driving it/

It is one of the most superior and finest super-bikes. The frame of the bike is designed with beauty and perfection. The backlight area of bike is also very attractive. Despite of all its beauty it is equipped with many safety features. It has got a highly advanced braking system that provides great braking power.
