I am building a TC88 or TC95. 650 lb bike & 175 lb rider. I am using the Crane HTC-290-2 .570 lift int.240 degrees exh. 248 degrees 40 degree overlap. I like the power and torque range, 1800-5800 rpm range. My question would be what would be a good starting point compression ratio to get a optimal corrected compression ratio of 9.3 to 1 or 9.5 to 1. The 40 degree overlap will cause compression loss,so I need a higher ratio to start with. The heads I am using are ported and flowed stock HD heads which have not been milled as of yet. The heads have 1.9 inch intake and 1.6 inch exhaust. Should I mill the heads and how much should I take off? Or should I get domed pistons at what compression? Help? Trying to make that 100 HP mark!
