HD chrome,chrome the original parts or JP cycle chrome????

I have a 2004 Softail standard and I am in the process of upgrading stock metal parts for chrome ones.  So far they have been  minor upgrades like a chrome voltage regulator cover, derby cap, etc.  My question is I would now like to get chrome for the outer primary, cam cover etc.  Would I be better off paying the high price for original harley parts or get parts from JP cycle instead? Or taking the original parts I already have on the bike to a local chrome shop?
