What does it mean the number 2 A 8 0 0 6 2 ?

The VIN numbers stamped on most Harleys from the mid 1920s on use the year in the nmbers. So this is either not a Harley number or even older. You might check out the Classic American Iron forum at http://www.caimag.com. Good place with lots of good and experienced people there.
