Motorcycle Crash: Help

I need some help. My husband was in a motorcylce accident on May 15, 2008. A Mail Truck did a u-turn in front of him on highway 64 in Leonard, OK. He was running apx. 62 mph. No Helment. He was in icu for 9 days and in the hospital a total of 3 weeks. His skull was fractured from front to back, broke neck, broke back and pelvis. He had a total of 25 fractured. He is nothing short of a miracle. He does have short term disability but does not cover all our bills. If anyone feels in thier heart to help please e-mail me at lorrie@huntercompaniesinc.com. Lorrie you have my most heart felt condolences and prayers for your unfortunate situation. As a suggestion though if there was a article in the local newspaper you should post a hyper link to it and I think you would have more success in receiving donations. I am in no way doubting you but you have to realize that in this day and age of the PC there are so many scambags out there trying to hustle something for nothing that it makes people very skeptical about sending anyone money. Again this is just a suggestion-my prayers are with your husband & fellow brother rider. MaineHD

Lorrie so sorry to hear about your husbands accident, i ve been there myself. first of all question- doesnt this mail truck company have insurance to cover? allso think about the guy driving ; he is directly responcible so sue him for medical bills etc. and maybe get those people after him instead of you all? lots of lawyers out there ( yellow pages) who,ll take a case on percentage basis no cost at all to you. go talk to one ; first visits free and he can get the bill collectors to leave off till its setteled.lastly, bikers got big hearts especially when its one of their own-call around to the harley shops and harley dealers and talk to them. they,ve done raffles of bikes donated ; love rides etc. just to raise money for those in need. dont feel bad , we,ve all been there more or less.
