Hi everybody:
I'm new to this web-site and I first off would like to say hello.

I have this guy who has a 2006 American Ironhorse Texas Chopper for sale.

I heard the Company went out of business and they had safety recalls so the company went into chapter 11.

I have looked on line and I only have read recalls for the 2004 bikes with battery problems and 2005 with rear shock failure that could cause a serious accident. I have not read any issues at all with the 2006 models at all.

I have read the digital speedos are junk.

This bike has the optional chrome kit that a dealer told me cost around $3,000 for it. Is that true and what all came with that option.

The bike has around 300 miles on it with V&H curved drag pipes on it, and the bike appears to be in new condition.

Can anybody advise me on this bike good or bad please.
I have talked to a dealer who sold those bikes until they closed their doors last year, and this guy told me those bikes are awsome.

Another dealer told me the digital speedos are junk and the only thing they see as problems is replacing bearings in the head set.

What can anybody tell me about these bikes.

I'm really excited about possibly bringing this bike home possibly this weekend. I have all ready told my wife the chopper is going into our living room this winter here in Mich. She thought I was kidding she than said your joking right? I than told her where are you going to put the couch.

Thanks
garman
