Help... Regulator repair 94 HD Heritage Softtail

I recently noticed that I was dragging a wire comeing from the regulator, maybe why battery was dead. I can not find where the regulator wire goes, it was ripped completely from the bike. Anyone know where it goes?

One side comes from the stator housed in the primary. The other end follows the framerail upward
