Just bought a Rocker and love the bike except for the seat.  Anyone know of an aftermarket seat yet kind of like the Duece set up that anyone makes?  NOT Corbin right now, they make one but it looks horrible.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Heartland USA has a couple of cool seat setups. One is a spring seat and the other changes the fender mount from the swingarm to the frame, but still looks cool. Both look great. Go to heartlandusa or heartlandbiker.com     Hope this helps.

G, I agree with you on the stock seat.  Not only is it bad looking but very uncomfortable as well.  I have an 08 RC and have added the SERT, Big Radius pipes and Big Sucker air cleaner was well as other various chrome add-ons but was still not happy with the look because of the seat.  I added the Corbin seat and can't believe the difference in comfort and looks.  The pics on the Corbin sight do not do the seat any justice.  When mounted it sits lower in the rear and actually puts the rider in a lower, further back position much like a chopper.  The comfort is great!  No more numb ass like the stock seat after 50 miles.

I have had my Rocker C for about four months now and I can now say that the stock seat is the most uncomfortable thing I have sat in.  This includes the old aluminum stadium bench seats at the college football games.  I never had to leave a football game after 45 minutes to an hour, but I'll be danmned if I can ride that Rocker as long.
So, after searching for quite a long time and researching my options, I have gotten rid of the "trick seat" and I am having a custom seat built by Jeffrey Phipps Custom Saddles here in Palm Beach Gardens Florida.  This will be the second one he has done.  The first one was a little over a week ago on a FXCW model.  He is making mine so that it will be a fixed "solo" seat, but leaving room on the sides to access the mounting holes to add the passenger pillion that is available from Harley.  The down side is that the passenger pillion is sold "a la carte".  The new struts are $200.00, the luggage rack/mounting plate is $170.00 and the passenger seat cushion is another $170.00 and the backrest will be $59.00.  All of this said, the whole shooting match with the custom seat from Phipps will run in the neighborhood of $1500.00 just to get a NEW Harley to be comfortable enough to enjoy and include a pasenger option.
I will post pictures of the new solo seat later next week as soon as I get the bike back.  I know this won't be an option for everyone because of the cost, it really is the only way I found to get what I want and KNOW that I will enjoy the bike for years to come.  As for pics of the setup with the passenger pillion, well, when I break down and spend the $640.00 on it, I will post them too.  LOL   Good luck to all of you with this bike and a numb ass.  If anyone finds a better solutuion, post it.
I don't consider the Corbin seat a better solution, because the Corbin seat is way to big for the bike.  No offense, but it ruins the lines of the bike and the Corbin seat becomes the focal point once installed.  Corbin jumped the gun and designed a quick replacement seat knowing that there will be folks like us out there desperate to find a solution.  They need to go back to the drawing board on that one.  I know they can do better.

I disagree with your statement that the lines are ruined with this seat. It measures no wider than the stock seat, it reduces the clearance between the rear fender and the back of the seat.  It also moves the rider lower and back about 2 inches further.  The way the seat is designed gives more lower back support as well.  When you look at a cost of aprox 460.00 compaired to the 1500.00 you will spend for basically the same results (comfort), its a great choice.  There may be others that come out with something different but after spend close to 21k on a bike that stock is so uncomfortable to ride for any period of time, 460 bucks for a comfortable ride that you can enjoy is well worth it.

Hey dw, did you get your bike back from the shop and have you posted pics any where? I too have been searching for an "option" and I really don't want to do the Heartland conversion, at least not yet and the Corbin seat is not for me. Sounds like you've found a pretty good solution. I'm eager to see the pics.

Check out Saddlemen.com.  Their seats also include gel which makes for a comfortable seat.

Guys, did anyone see the Corbin seat for the Rocker in person ? The seat looks horrible on their site. I just got a slipped disc and the only way to ride my Rocker again is to have a seat with a backrest. Any input ?

I have the Corbin on my rocker and I think it looks great.  I did not get the backrest with it so I could not say how that would look.  I can say this though.  The seat is very comfortable and give some back support with the way it is scooped out.  When I first got the bike I could hardly ride more than 10 miles before my butt fell asleep and my bacj would be killing me.  With the Corbin on it I could ride what feel like forever. It sure made riding the bike much more enjoyable.  I don't have a picture with the new seat (got a million others) but it looks great.

i have had a seat designed and made for the rocker c,still clips on as the original but my wife states it is the most comfortable seat she has ever been on,2000 miles in one week around ireland-no problem.i have just had 3 more seats made, around £260.00,all now sold, but i am awaiting delivery of 3 more.it supports the pillion with an upward curve on the back, and the best bit is it just clips off so your rocker c looks solo when no pillion-as stsndard.to see pictures e-mail me at tomlinson650@btinternet.com,regards tomo
