I recently bought a 08 Street Glide.
The engine is noisy, sounds like the valves need adjusted but the pushrods are non adjustable.
A friend who bought a Road Glide with the 96 inch has the same noise and he heard all 96's are noisy. Anyone have input on this?

Have the same issue with my FLHTCU. Dealer says it is normal. We'll see how it sounds after switching to synthetic oil.

I switched to synthetic RevTech 20-50 with no inprovement. Only have 2500 miles on the bike. Let me know if you have success with a different brand oil.

hey, I have an 07 roadking custom and it has always sounded like a tightly wound sewing machine. I have used screaming eagle synthetic from day one. The only way to get rid of the noise is to put a louder exhaust on it to muffle what you hear. THANKS EPA!
