I am looking for info regarding the ultima motor range, I am at the moment researching the 127inch motor for a new build but so far i have found that there are very mixed views about this engine.
One minute i read that they are ticking time bombs and the next is that they are one of the best on the market, can anyone give me any hands on isues about these motors (good or bad)
Many thanks.

Ultima is a good motor. Make sure you can put whatever you git in the frame of the scooter you have.
You may need to consult a good Indy shop.

i've had nothing but trouble with mine, heavy valve noise out of the box,and the warranty starts the day the motor is purchessed so if it takes you a few months before your on the road your warranty may be up. the 120" has only 6 months.it took severel weeks of phone calls two sets of bent pushrods and two sets of blown head gaskets before they decided there might be a problem with this motor . i just pulled it out of the bike ,they are sending a truck to pick it up. o yeah it only has 1200 miles on it.120 cubic inch

i have a 100 in with under 600 miles and had a recall on the jims lifter. it snapped and tore up the cam, flywheel, cylinder walls, tappet blocks, oil pump, breather gear.good news was ultima is covering it under warranty and doing extra free of charge.when it was runnin i left my and his 107 ss lookin like an overpriced paper weight

Have ultima 120 and been having problems with it running correctly.Thinking something to do with timing.Changed thecarb to a woods performance with the same problem while crusing and wacking the gas bike stumbles for a bit and clears up.Also alotf valve train noise.Does anybody have a number for ultima.
