According to Harley Davidson Canada Customer Service Coordinator Andrew Bedard - "Just as it's described in the Catalog - and that's all I can say"

My question to him was is the oil 100% synthetic (it doesn't have to be to be marketed as synthetic), and does it have any API or other nationally or internationally recognized rating that Harley can confirm in writing?  Apparently not.

Even grocery store oil has an API rating.  It wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't paying $15 cdn per litre for the stuff - but at this price you would expect some kind of grading information.  My bike deserves better.

Then give it AMSOIL synthetic. It's specs beat all the rest at high temps. Recommended oil change 1 year or 30,000 miles. Goes in all holes on a Road King too!
Check their site for the specs and comparisons. My wife deserves better.....
