Hello! I just bought a bike that was painted on the East Coast around 1976 by John Hartnett! The bike looks great but I want to find out more about the artist -  Could anyone please give me some information about him?? Thank you!

John Hartnett was a graduate of the Butera School
of Art in Boston Ma around 1968 or thereabouts.
Painted and lettered and stripped many bikes,
cars, helmets etc. in the MA area for years.
A very talented, low key guy with much imagination
and ability.  Someone I know once commented that
from a few feet away the "work" looked so good
you could mistake it for a decal as it just was
that precise and detailed.  Never had anyone I
recommended to him tell me they were anything but
wild about the way their project turned out.
Have not seen or heard from him for 38+ years
but look for Billy Belmont in the Dedham/West
Roxbury area in MA and maybe he can fill in
 the blanks for you.
