Does anyone know who makes a deep rumble type of muffler for a 2007 FLHR. I've heard bikes that have that racecar deep sound that doesn't have a lot of ping & pop but don't know who makes them. Any help is appreciated.

The best sound out there for the money is the Thunderheader. Trust me I have them on my FLHTI, besides Sonny Barger doesn't just put him name on anything.

I would agree the thunder header has the best sound you can get from a Harley. But I just can't go with the one pipe on the back of a bagger.

I have a Thunderheader on my bike but I also like the sound of the BUB duels. They have a nice deep rumble to them.

I have a set of Vance and Hines with a set of Big City Thunder- Thunder Monster baffles installed. Only lost a couple hp and gained a little more torque. Sounds great, like I changed my cam.

I have a 2003 Roadking and I run a 2-into-1 Thunderheader. Definitely the best soundinging pipes out there and they also produce torque. They do make a Thunderheader with a false left side for those who like the balanced look. I also love the sound of the Rhineharts.

Ive run the Rineharts and V&H Big Shot Longs and between the 2 I think the V&H BS Longs with the optional diamond cut slash end caps & quite baffles looked and sounded better. The V&H BS have a "power chamber" that ties the 2 pipes together that cant be seen so supposedly according to V&H you get the performance of a 2into1 with the looks of a 2into2 The quite baffles really aren't all that much more quite but give just enough added back pressure that you'll notice just a tad more low rpm torque. And another thing I liked was the one piece with no seams from the head to the end cap heat shield, Ive put about 5500 miles on them so far and have had 0 bluing.

besides the piped that can enhance the sound of the motorcycle, are there any other alternatives that can be used to enhance the piped even more?? even after they have been replaced with a good set or roaring pipes??

Is he looking for pipes or mufflers. If its pipes, I would go with the Rienhart true duels. Have had them on my 05 FL since I bought it and they sound great. Remember though that if you change the pipes it will require a high flow air intake change as well as one of the tuners out there and a dyno tune. If your talking just mufflers, V&H ovals sound great. My brother inlaw just popped a set of these on his 08 Street Glide and they sound awesome. No air intake change was needed and no dyno. There may be a little performance change but hardly noticable but, its an inexpensive way to get a great sound at a cheaper price. Pipes, Intake, and tune will run you around 1300-1600 bucks installed. Mufflers, about 400 buck and you can have them on in a half hour. GL!

I have an FLSTC too. I have riden off and on for 35 years but this is my first harley. Question....Did you get much of a performance increase from your modifications? I love the bike, but it has no power.

Here's my take:
I installed the HD High-Flow air cleaner, the computer download, and Vance & Hines slip-ons. The difference for my bike was night and day. I have not run my bike on a dyno. I love riding too much to care what I'm pushing to the rear wheel. Here's what I do know,
1. I can smoke the tire enough to only get 5k out of one rear tire. (Normally 8,600 is my average.
2. I can climb some monster mountain rodes in 4, 5, 6 with no problem. (RPM 2000-2500)
3. I average 43.8 MPG.
4. People know when I'm coming, going, pissed off, or just puttin'.
Without getting ridiculous with dyno testing, upgrades, and trying to beat everything and everyone else on a Harley -- I ride my machine for just what it is, A Bagger. The performance difference was amazing. The sound is amazing. It get's good gas mileage.
Enjoy your putt...
