I bought a new 06 Heritage Softtail classic last year. I am on my 3rd set of pipes and cannot get the sound I want. My bike is fuel injected, and I am wondering if that is the problem. I can't seem to get the loud, but mellow sound. Also, the "lope" sound when idling is not there. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. Dennis

I'm running a Thunderheader on my 06 1200R she sounds awesome and runs great. My dyno chart shows that I'm making 72 hp and 77 ft pounds with only the stage 1. At around 3100rpms she really starts to sing. I don't know your riding style so they may be a little flat on the bottom for your tastes. I think for your bike, the BUB's have a deep mellow sound that's not to loud. The Thunderheader is pretty loud, and likes rpms. Before I had SEII slip ons and my bike flattened out at 5000 rpms, now she pulls hard to redline.
