I read the Hot Bike article about the Terry Component Terminal Velocity II units and it sounded too good to be true but I bought one anyway. As it turned out it not only was too good to be true but it was a nightmare to try to resolve. The unit made my bike run progressively worse. Other articles I've read say that the oxygen sensors they use do not have a wide enough range to make the kind of adjustments required for engine modifications. They can only adjust for like changes in the climate. Notice the new Harleys have two oxygen sensors and their systems still have to be recalibrated when you make engine modifications.

I agree. Installed terminal velocity on a 88 cubic inch heritage. Worked fine until I converted 88 cubic inch to 95 cubic inch. Can not get the bike out of first gear for all the spittering, sputtering and bucking. Terminal Velocity said that it was a bad unit. Sent it back. Got new one two weeks later. Installed, still spittering, sputtering, and bucking. Ordered Power Commander and waiting for its arrival. Loved the close system philosophy, but unfortunately, "To Good To BE True". Hope one day that it works for others.

Do you think if you paired the Velocity II with a wide band O2 sensor that would do the trick? I have an 07 Electra Glide I want to add a set of Rinehart True Duals to and will not be making any major mods to the 96ci.
