Sportster Tank upgrade

I have a 93, 883 Sportster that I want to upgrade the small peanut tank to the newer & larger OEM tank. Can it be easily swapped out or do I need an adapter? Thx.

an ol ridin buddy did just that an didnt have no problems. the mounts were the same. the tank is a little taller and some wider but not longer. to be sure ride by the local harleyshop and you can hold it up next to what you got an check for fit. but be sure an put some tank liner in there if it needs it.
