Do I really have to buy the Harley wide tire kit to go from a 130 to a 150 tire on my 01 FXST standard softail? Also, what is the widest wheel I can use with the 150 tire?

did this on an older scoot once but this is a little different; i had a chain which you robably run a belt. anyway my advise is call *** CYCLES and talk to the tech. line there. those guys know there products and can tell you all about tire size etc. with no guesswork. i think you can do it easilly for such a small difference in size. they make a shim package which consists of different size shims behind rear wheel drive sprocket and front tranny sprocket to simply space out the belt drive correctly away from rear tire.find out width of wheel(they sell em theyll know) and ask will it fit?
